Stereograpic projection 360 degrees of Mont St Michel (Normandy)
Roundscapes and Prints Paintings Twitter WebThe camera was placed on a ridge that was part of the original pilgrims walk and shows the car park at the base of the spher and the Mont St michel on the horizon at the top. This huge car park has altered the landscape so much that the 360 degree panorama becomes half landscape - half car park. If you see a face in this image, then the the toothy grin at the bottom half is all cars.

Development of theme park from 8th Century to today.
The problem with this for me is that it takes any magic the place would have had and turns it into a theme park. This might seem harsh to be dismissive of such an imposing symbol but in the long term this will erode and distill any relationship between people and their own landscape heritage. You can still walk along the ridge through the marsh up to the town but its been intersected by the car park and anyway at the end of the car park theres a bus, so why bother.

Round Scapes are framed original digital photographs of landscapes. Photographing panoramic landscapes allows me to manipulate these images into stereographic projections sometimes known as little planets.
