A Great Night out depicts three women in uniform and wearing gas masks. Each figure is showing the gas mask breathing apparatus at different stages and this is largely the only difference between them.

A Great Night Out reminds me of Les - Demoiselles d'Avignon (The Young Ladies of Avignon), originally titled The Brothel of Avignon) 1907 by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. This painting portrays 3 females each one portrayed in a disconcerting confrontational manner and none are conventionally feminine. Like the Demoiselles’ d‘Avignon the women appear as slightly menacing with angular and disjointed body shapes. The three figures are using the gas marks to breathe but the disguise and robot stares remove all beauty from them..
